sew new?

Well, as fashion week is in the midst of the week, I have noticed that a new design in shoes has been born.

sew true.

Jay McCarroll, spoken like a true smartass.
(Jay kind of reminds me of the 'Michael Moore' of fashion)
"[W]hen you say fashion, it kind of connotes that I would like to be part of this fashion industry in NYC, where I would have to play games and, like, talk to a bunch of a--hole vapid girls I don’t want to talk to. But then there’s the idea of making clothes and being a clothing designer, and I’m more interested in that end of it. I just want to put out products and be the name behind the product ... Young designers, it’s awful, it’s hard. How are you going to survive unless your father’s rich? Look at Stella McCartney, her father’s a Beatle. My father’s not a Beatle. I’m not a Beatle. I’m Middle America."

sew siriano seriously in love.

Oh, I cannot wait til Thursday; that's when Christian Siriano (the most fiercest diva alive from Project Runway) is going to present his "Dark Edgy Sexy Egyptian Cleopatra Diva" Fall 2009 Collection under the white tents.
Word on the streets is that he will have some killer FIERCE high heels walking down the runway.

sew there is life after 'runway'

Jillian Lewis from Project Runway just debuted her first line "Urban Warrior" this week.
From the looks of it, it seems very cool, with some funkyness/flare; straight-edge designs/patterns you'd expect from her.

But I was looking at the shoes, duh. She borrowed her shoes from Pour La Victoire.
I looked them up, and they're not bad of heels. And guess what, totally in your price range! kinda.

sew s.e.w.

My entire life captured in one picture.

sew my favorites.

Well, it's midnight and I'm just blogging away.. duh.
Check out these few shows I came across.. Max Azria, Rodarte & Matthew Williamson.
(Victoria Beckham's line.. cute, classy, chic.. uh, too boring. sorry posh.
And Justin Timberlake's line 'William Rast.' leather meets jean. please.)
check out the shoes!

Max Azria. Already know the shoes.. just wanted to see if they matched the clothes.
Kinda reminds me of Lanvin's Fall line, just a turned down a couple notches, with less glam.

Rodarte. I normally just look at the shoes, but the clothing designs are intuitive! love the texture.
And yes, those are leather boots that wrap up the entire leg. S&M HOTTT

Matthew Williamson. Look at the zebra sandal/boots. LOVE EM.

sew snore.

More shoes from Bryant Park . . but these just aren't tickling my fancy. Fall is not that exciting anyway, but you can be conservative with some sass! Hopefully the week unveils more.
I wish I could be there in person. Sitting on the side, camera lens level to the runway so I could take a picture of every shoe from every designer. One day I will be there, and really take this fashion shoe blog of mine to the next level.
Tracy Reese                           Marc Jacobs                   Carolina Herrera

These heels just look so last century and such a bore. Not impressing me at all. YUCK.

Marc Jacobs (pictures courtesy of Shoeblog.com & ObessedShoes.com)

And I absolutely hate Marc Jacobs this fall, clothes n shoes n all. Not a big fan of the retro-80's look. There's a lot of 'wow' but not the WOW I like. Don't get me wrong, Marc is the man, but this was like a couture show; I didn't see many pieces I would actually walk off the runway with. Perhaps it's just me, but I don't like the oversized shoulder pads, string pants, and shiny neon colors; weird, over-the-top futuristic designs. Outrageously brilliant? I don't know. Out of 60 pieces, I only saw a couple of skirts, one pair of shoes, and sunglasses...everything else, NEXT.

Every girl, chick, woman, lady, grandma has a place in their heart for Barbie, and well, perfect Ken too:)
Check out the show! Goes from retro old-school chic Barbie to futuristic Barbie.
